Challenge
The City of Vallejo and its event partner The Ever Wonder sought to establish a series of signature community events that would engage diverse audiences, activate public spaces, support local businesses, and strengthen civic pride. Each event required its own unique identity while contributing to a recognizable and cohesive family of annual community experiences.
Strategy
Develop a flexible visual and communications framework that could support multiple event brands while maintaining consistency across the broader program. Create distinct personalities for each event through illustration, typography, messaging, and color systems, ensuring each could grow and evolve year after year.

• Established creative direction and visual identity systems for multiple annual community events
• Designed custom illustrations, logos, and campaign graphics
• Created print and digital marketing assets across social media, advertising, signage, and event collateral
• Developed visual frameworks for recurring events including EarthDaze, Glow Vallejo, Field Day, Vallejo Kite Festival, and Solano Mix
• Produced environmental graphics, wayfinding systems, and on-site event materials
• Supported community outreach, sponsorship visibility, and audience engagement initiatives
