NBA All Star Game

This was an exciting project with Insite Design Group in Walnut Creek, CA. I was hired to develop full scope designs for the 2020 NBA All Star Game, including managing files and presentations through the entire 6 month process. The designs presented for social media backdrops (including props) were so well received, they produced them all!

United Center Windows

Each year this event transforms the location to brand for the All Star game. In 2020 the game was held at the Bulls arena in Chicago. Utilizing materials to cover the glass windows including Clear Glass Apeel PSA and Optically Clear PSA, we created an atmosphere that was striking from inside and outside the event.

United Center Wayfinding

We created a system of branded wayfinding signs to direct visitors during the event. Coordination with the event organizers was key to creating these signs, in order to give the correct directions based on each sign location.

United Center Concourse

Once inside the venue, visitors were treated by the 2020 branding elements throughout the concourse, from hanging signs overhead to full coverings of built in fixtures, including lighting elements.

Finally in the game, the branding continues throughout the bowl and court. We worked to create elements within the seating as well as on the court and on the overhead sign.

United Center Backstage

From the locker rooms to the hallways, the branding continues. The venue has event rooms that were also utilized for parties and gatherings and required unique branding elements.

United Center Social Backdrops

To engage attendees and extend the reach of the event, we mocked up options for a Giphy backdrop for photo ops. We wanted to develop options that also included easy to produce props that would make for fun selfies. The plan was to choose one, but they liked them so much, they produced them all.
