CREATIVE SUPERPOWERS

Book cover titled "Follow the Thread" by Roz Ritter with three dresses displayed vertically; the first is a cream-colored fitted gown, the second is a light-colored dress on a hanger with lace and embroidery, the third is a white dress with colorful embroidery and crochet details.

BOOK DESIGN

My design education focused heavily on book design, learning about bindings and folios and printing techniques. In my career, I’ve used this knowledge for many print projects including recently creating a full coffee table art book. Roz’s work speaks for itself, but establishing a clean layout and a flow to the book was imperative, and we definitely accomplished that.

Colorful foldable promotional pamphlets about pizza industry media and advertising displayed on a wooden surface.

CONCEPT & DESIGN

When you work for a magazine all about pizza, this shape just makes sense. As a stand out for trade shows, the layout described a complicated media company with many different components, while perfectly falling together into a slice.

A deck of business or informational cards with a red and white Raytheon logo, spread out on a light green surface with some cards showing text and a black-and-white photo.

CONCEPT & DESIGN

This piece was designed for a trade show drop bag and was utilized for many other events. The cover was custom screen printed on thick velum and I sourced a unique red screw post. Each page could be removed as new elements were added for a completely customizable piece.

Four printed sheets or posters with the Navisite logo, arranged on a gray background.

CONCEPT, DESIGN & PRODUCTION

It seemed like a simple project, design a trifold media kit for Navisite, a company that keeps high-end content safe and secure. But I thought, what better way to showcase their security than embossing the front cover with a big logomark, and then first flap embossed with a full flood of their repeating logo. Inside we created our own duplex with a metallic paper, and then die cut the inside flaps in the shape of their logo swoop.

Program for the Boston Women's Luncheon, organized by the American Heart Association, dated February 6, 2004.
Tri-fold informational flyer with red text and black text about women, featuring I.D. photo and text in the center panel, set on a white surface.

CONCEPT & DESIGN
