NURSE’S TOOLKIT

When filmmaker Shannon Cohn approached me for this project, she had already created her noted film, Endo What?, dedicated to educating about Endometriosis. She needed a nurse’s toolkit: a 12 page booklet to educate nurses and a factual poster to engage girls who might need help.

A DVD case and disc for a film titled "Endo What?" with a silhouette of a woman in profile on the cover, set against an orange background.
A chalkboard with purple text that says 'Pain is not normal' and illustrations of female figures, nine outlined in yellow and one filled in pink, accompanied by pink and yellow text discussing endometriosis and its symptoms, including severe cramps, heavy bleeding, bloating, nausea, diarrhea, constipation, frequent urination, pain with exercise, and fatigue.
An open educational booklet with instructions on how to use a toolkit. The left page has a message from Shannon Cohn, Director/Producer of Endo What?, including her photo. The right page provides five steps to put the toolkit into action, such as watching a film, hanging a poster, reading facts, sharing a DVD and toolkit, and initiating conversation. There is a yellow background and a mix of text styles and colors.
Six-page brochure with case studies on healthcare programs, including visuals of people, graphs, and information about benefits, results, and program details.

EPIDEMIC RESPONSE

Our client, Silverlink, provided many healthcare professionals with insight and information about their patients. During the H1N1 epidemic, they needed a dedicated site and informational one sheets to relay their data as a dedicated outreach program.

KNOW YOUR STATS

This interactive website launched in September as part of National Prostate Cancer Awareness Month. Sponsored by the American Urological Association (AUA) Foundation and the NFL, they have teamed up with prostate cancer survivor and Pro Football Hall of Fame member, Mike Haynes for the Know Your Stats campaign. The focus is to turn awareness into action by encouraging men to know their risks and make educated decisions using football as a metaphor. The campaign helped to save lives and drive the message of prostate health awareness on the local level with more than 500 participating hospitals across the nation.

BRAND DEVELOPMENT

Healthcare Source was one of the first healthcare companies I had helped build assets for, working with an existing brand led by talented art directors. We built many pieces starting with a wire frame and a website, advertising and trade show materials.
